I was referred to prodigy by a coworker who spoke highly of the gym. I initially started their Jiu Jitsu program for practical reasons. I stayed for the atmosphere, culture and great friends I’ve made in this journey thus far. The upper belts are incredibly knowledgeable and have a wide array of styles. The atmosphere is so welcoming, I was never uncomfortable attending. The cleanliness of the gym is unmatched. Prodigy Martial Arts is the first place I would refer anyone who has an interest in either Muay Thai or Jiu Jitsu!
Really cool place and friendly staff. This is the 6th different gym I’ve gone to and it seems to have a really good mix of helpful and skilled trainers and beginners. The most impressive facility I’ve been to
I received a recommendation from a friend to try this gym and I was not disappointed. Knowledgeable and friendly instructors, and a great community of people that help each other progress and improve their skills.
Love learning jiu jitsu at Prodigy! Everyone is always so welcoming and patient and excited to help you learn, no matter where you are at in your journey. The facility is always clean and bright. The 101 Class on Monday nights is very beneficial for those that are new; questions are always encouraged and answered and members of all belt levels are always willing to help. Such a welcoming community.Walking into the doors of Prodigy is one of my favorite parts of the week!
I have been training at Prodigy for over a year and a half, and I can confidently say that it is one of the best martial arts gyms I've ever experienced. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, friendly atmosphere that made me feel welcomed and part of the community.
I highly recommend trying this gym out! It does not matter what experience you have or physical shape you are currently in. The best time to start is now! Come check this gym out I guarantee you will not regret it!
I have been going to Prodigy for 2 years. I have tried multiple other Jiu-jitsu gyms but eventually ended up quitting without making any progress. At Prodigy, I've felt a real sense of belonging and mentorship. Everyone from the coaches to students are very welcoming and want you to succeed and grow. The instructors are top notch! The classes are easy to follow and they have a wide variety of black belts to help. The facility itself is beautiful and kept very clean. I couldn't have found a better gym and am happy that I've finally found somewhere where I've made real progress, friends, and continue to improve my skills. I highly recommend!
Prodigy Martial Arts provides valuable knowledge for those who want to learn Jiu Jitsu. The instructors are friendly and great at teaching techniques. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone wanting to learn a martial art.
If you’re interested in Jujitsu Prodigy is the place. No matter where your skill level is, Prodigy has a class for you. I’ve been to several other different gyms and Prodigy is the the best one I’ve been to. There are no egos here. Everybody is here to train and work hard together. It is great because while I’m training nn the downstairs mat, my son gets to take the kids class upstairs. My son loves Jujitsu and the instructors. They also offered Muay Thai classes and have free weights that you can use before and after class. It is the one stop shop. Thank you to the owners. They are the friendliest guys there.
My daughter and I go to Prodigy! As a full time working parent, we needed a place that we both loved the atmosphere but also where I could workout while she does to save on time. It’s a well balanced place that provides great technique, good workouts, and wonderful people. We are very lucky to have such a great place to train at.
My 15-year old son and I just started at Prodigy yesterday. We took a Muay Thai class and it was awesome. The facility is clean, well lit, and properly outfitted. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Prodigy!
The staff at Prodigy immediately reached out after I requested to train here. I was nervous like most people trying things for the first time. However, when I arrived, I felt so welcomed by the staff and the people who attend. I look forward to continuing my journey in Ju Jitsu and Muy Thai and encourage others to check Prodigy out.
My first BJJ and Muy Thai gym . Haven’t felt more welcomed anywhere else . The instructors are the best and everyone treats each other well and with manners . 10/10
I have been at Prodigy for 6 months and really enjoy this journey. Jiu jitsu has made me physically stronger, and mentally calmer. The atmosphere at Prodigy is family like, and emphasizes learning and growth, with some humor thrown in.
i tried my first class and it seemed like a really good place to start training best place i’ve ever trained at and i’d recommend training here too if you wanna get good
Glad I came to Prodigy! Lots of drilling in class which I really appreciate. Very welcoming and open environment as wellEdited a year in: due to my unpredictable schedule, I have dropped into some half dozen BJJ gyms in the Twin Cities. I can say with complete confidence that Prodigy is the best gym in the cities in every way.The facility is spacious and always clean, with bathrooms separate from locker rooms so you can change in privacy without holding up the bathroom.Black belts / Coaches are approachable, knowledgeable, and above all, good teachers. Their focus is on fundamentals of BJJ rather than trendy sport BJJ that’s obsessed with footlocks and NoGi fads, though there is still NoGi training as well as Gi.The team have also done an excellent job of cultivating a culture of respect and kindness for all that come and train. There are no mat bullies at Prodigy, and I’m proud to say that Prodigy is my home for Jiu Jitsu.
Very nice gym. I travel often for work and was in town for the week. A coworker told to check Prodigy Martial Arts out and I was glad I did. Very welcoming instructors and students at the gym.
This is by far my favorite jujutsu gym I’ve ever been to. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the gym is big and clean. I enjoy both the kick boxing and jujutsu classes that they offer. And overall a really fun experience.
Great place one of my favorite gyms to go to clean gym friendly people and staff, best coaches I have ever had super motivating. If your looking into learning jujutsu or kickboxing definitely worth giving this place a try truly a great experience you get here.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, I love how open and spacious the facility is, and being it was my first time here I didn’t feel pressured or nervous about trying anything and had a lot of fun, I’m really excited to get more consistent training in mma here at Prodigy. Would highly recommend anyone to come here. Very welcoming environment and people
If you’re looking to get started either for fitness reasons or just wanting to start something new and interesting Prodigy Martial Arts is a wonderful place to get going. From their welcoming and knowledgeable instructors/students to their clean and well kept facility I had an awesome first class experience. Everyone there was really encouraging and helpful despite my skill or confidence level. I’m glad I choose Prodigy to start my Jiu Jitsu journey! Really looking forward to the next class!
Highly recommend this academy, both of my sons trained here and absolutely loved it. It’s a very clean, organized and beautiful facility that’s family friendly. My sons had a lot of fun training here with their friends and relatives. In a short period of time we seen improvements in our kids grappling abilities. Great place where instructors unlock your child hidden defense potential that you never knew existed. Try a free class and you will be hooked!
Awesome academy! My son been training here for 7 months and I joined the adult classes 3 months ago. Very family friendly atmosphere with positive vibes. Very friendly instructors who focus on helping everyone learn and advance in their training. Helped me get out of my comfort zone and push myself harder then I thought I was capable of. This helped me get off my weight loss plateau on my current weight loss journey. Highly recommend this academy!
One of a kind training experience here!!! I’m a brown belt (145er) out of Texas and was visiting someone close, when she suggested we train! The advanced class, held in their upstairs area, was fantastic with unique scenarios set up. I rolled with everyone from blue belt all the way to all 3 black belts and had a truly fun experience that was amazing. Challenging rolls all around but still an awesome time!!!I stayed for the fundamentals class as well just to work the techniques and was met with clear instruction and concise answers for anything I mentioned. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming and I already am looking forward to visiting for another reason now. Every time I’m in the area now, this is my go to spot hands down.Thank you so much to the Professors who welcomed me with open arms and generous rolls!PS Also going back on Saturday and Sunday for more of this amazing place!!!
Took a free class with Thao and Justin couldn’t have had a better experience the environment is great and I couldn’t have had better instruction! Thank you again for having me!
I trained with Austin Jordan out of Prodigy Martial Arts in Blaine. I started FP 3 months postpartum with the goals to not have a sore back and generally improved strength and movement to keep up with my child. After just 2 months, I had the tools to help maintain low back strength and posture that on long car rides was no longer painful. Austin is incredibly patient, has a way of making the technical movements make sense, is down to earth, and makes working out fun. He has been my biggest cheerleader and has pointed out changes in me that I hadn't seen yet. I highly recommend training with Austin with FP MN.
The things I love most about Prodigy are their commitment and integrity. They have welcomed me into their community and seem interested in helping me grow and achieve more. The technical expertise, training comradery, and mutual respect are what keep me coming back to the Prodigy dojo. They WILL help you achieve your goals.
Brought My Elementary School Daughter In For Self Defense Classes And The First Session Was Pretty Damn Good For A First Session. I Felt Confident That My Daughter Would Learn And Succeed In This Environment So We Made Her A Member. I Would Recommend This Program To Anyone Needing To Learn Self Defense.
Had my first class and it was amazing. As soon as I walked in the door I felt very welcome, like I was amongst old friends. Great people and a great workout!
Fell in love with the sport day one! Humble, friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Instructors will walk you through step by step and the first class is free!
The 3 owners have created such an incredible environment for every kinda person who walks in their doors. I would recommend them 100 times out of 100! Thank you Prodigy! Thank you so much!

My daughter and I go here! I do class while she’s In the kids class. I can’t think of many activities where a mom and daughter duo get to watch each other progress through a sport in quite the same way. It’s like being surrounded by family at this gym. People are genuinely committed to helping each other thrive. It’s the atmosphere I’ve always wanted my kiddo to grow up in and I’ve found it here, with these wonderful people. Our time spent here is priceless. Thank you to everyone at Prodigy! OSS!
My 9 year old son has been a member for a few years. The coaches are great with kids of all ages. Love that kid classes are available Mon-Fri and that you can stop in any day. Highly recommend Prodigy Martial Arts!
The coaches are great here and the other students make you feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone who is looking to start out in Muay Thai or BJJ. Looking forward to the progress made.
I had wanted to get into jiu jitsu for years but had so many worries and fears so I kept putting it off. I thought I would just get beat up, made fun of or get hurt. I finally pulled the trigger because my friend got a membership at Prodigy so I thought I would atleast try it. I AM OBSESSED! Not only was I worried for nothing but I had no idea the excitement and joy I was missing out on. Prodigy Martial Arts is a fantastic gym. The cleanliness is immaculate. The friendliness is more than welcoming. The vibes are chill , everyone is there to have fun, learn and support each other. The music is vibing lol and the work out is top notch. Truly a spectacular gym with incredible Instructors. I would recommend Prodigy to absolutely anyone.
Great group of people to learn Jiu Jitsu with. Very family friendly, facility is bright & clean. With the simultaneous Adult and Kids classes, it's a breeze for the whole family to learn.
Our 7 year old is developmentally delayed and has work he has to do with occasional therapy. He also has a hard time focusing for more than a few minutes at a time. I was amazed at how focused and well he did when he took his first class at Prodigy Martial Arts. Not only are his lessons improving his core strength, coordination, and balance, but his focus still is amazing while he’s there. I already see such an improvement. I definitely recommend Prodigy Martial Arts to anyone and everyone. We are even talking about joining.
Stopped in for a free class for our son, it didn’t take long to realize how great everyone here is! My son was welcomed into the class and we immediately felt comfortable. The instructors are amazing and so nice!
Welcoming and friendly with a modern, clean, and organized gym. Attentive and knowledgeable instructors who definitely push you to learn. A great workout with great people!
Everyone at the gym is so inviting, the gym is clean and the atmosphere is energetic. Even with no martial arts experience I am having a lot of fun and learning a lot at each class.
Our 2 younger kids take classes here and they absolutely love it! The gym is very clean and well organized. The best part is it's such a friendly community and the instructors are so great with the kids. They really take the time to help them learn at any level. I recommend this gym for any person or age!
Came in from out of town and needed a place to train. The vibe here is very friendly and welcoming. Came in on a Saturday for a fundamentals class and the instruction was clear and concise. After class I was able to roll with a few of the students and had a really good time. I didn't feel as though they were out to "test" me and I was able to have some good technical rolls. The facility was very nice with great amenities and a good size mat space. Whenever we are back in town this is where me and my family will be training.
An amazing place! We have young daughters that attend classes here. A very fun and exciting atmosphere for kids to learn in. I highly recommend this gym. The instructors are amazing!!!
